Transcript for March 15 Show of Fictional Frontiers with Sohaib Now Available The transcript for LOST-TV's third monthly appearance on the radio show Fictional Frontiers with Sohaib, held last Sunday, March 15, 2009 at 11:00am ET, is now available online. Fictional Frontiers is a live one-hour journey through the comic/novel, film, and television universes. Seeking caller opinions, host Sohaib Awan will engage listeners in one-on-one debates and discussions. In addition, Fictional Frontiers will tap into its reservoir of industry guests for insights into upcoming trends and projects. In Episode 39, LOST-TV celebrated its fifth anniversary with a live segment featuring webmaster and site creator Master Xander, as well as monthly guest, staff member, and forum moderator Scott Gotschall. Lost (TV2, Wednesday nights) keeps getting better and better. Sure, at bottom it's becoming one of those typical American Serious Message dramas, with all the weirdness and mystical goings-on turning out to be for A Purpose. It's the same with The 4400, which finished on TV3 last night. But the schmaltz is kept almost subliminal, and it's the black and nasty and truly perplexing stuff that kicks Lost along so absorbingly. For anyone who hasn't watched it, it's worth supporting on principle, because it was made as part of a new reactive tide in American television against the reality plague. You can count The 4400 and the gripping 24 series in this new wave. Finally, it occurred to some genius TV producer that, cheap as it was to put a group of real people on a tropical island and engineer silly scraps and challenges, and film their sores and tantrums, it would never be as entertaining and emotionally fulfilling as a properly crafted drama....
