Information Coming Soon
06 August 2007 "Have you heard anything about Peter Stormare and/or Forest Whitaker appearing on Lost this season?" Kristin: "Interestingly, Peter and Forest have the same manager. We heard the same rumors you did and asked if either of those guys would be appearing on Lost this season. The management company came back with "not that we know of." That doesn't mean they're not working on a deal for one or both of them to be on Lost. But if it is true, it sounds like nothing is certain."
30 July 2007 "Some people speculated that [going forward] the show will be set in the future and then flashbacks to the present, but no, we aren't changing any of the format of the show. We are just adding the flash forwards as an element. They have made a radio call to a freighter, and there are people on that freighter, and it might be logical to imagine that that storyline will continue...The situation is going to be very intense this year. Charlie wrote on his hand not Penny's boat, and [that] message was very important. It was really funny because [the clip at Comic-Con showed] Mr. Friendly saying, 'By the time you see this, I'm gonna be dead, but I am telling you it's a shame, because whoever is going to come after the Others is going to be a hell of a lot worse than we ever were.' Damon and I were listening to him and sort of nodding our head going, 'That's pretty prophetic.'... I don't expect any [permanent sets] for season four.... With Jin and Sun there is a very dynamic situation at work. She's pregnant...the fate of her child, the fate of their marriage, all those questions Damon and I will get to and more this season.... Walt will be back also. But we're not going to get into any details about that.... Yes, you will see more of Jacob."
28 August 2006 "The planned series finale of Lost has a "happy but tragic" ending--which probably means they get rescued, but lots of characters are offed before it's all over."
16 October 2007 Is Rescue Me's Tommy Gavin about to suffer yet another personal tragedy? Reliable sources close to Lost confirm to me exclusively that Andrea Roth — aka Denis Leary's long-suffering spouse on Rescue Me — is joining the cast in a recurring role. Details about her character are being kept under wraps, but a recent Lost casting notice went out for a female character in her mid-thirties described as "a tough, no-nonsense and beautiful" therapist who has a tendancy to be "overly controlling and obsessive." Sounds like a no-brainer to me.
Although I haven't been able to confirm the exact number of Lost episodes Roth will appear in, I imagine she'll be able to fulfill her commitment and still return to Rescue Me — that is, if there is a Rescue Me to return to. FX hasn't officially renewed the show for a fifth season. Assuming that it will be back, production will likely resume in early '08 — which would leave Roth plenty of time to squeeze in a juicy little arc on Lost.
Thoughts? Is Rescue Me's potential loss Lost's gain? I vote "Yes!"
15 August 2007 "New character alert! The show has started casting the recurring role of Arthur Stevens, a very tall and thin corporate recruiter who is smart, capable and ruthless. "He may smile and his words may sound soothing," reads the casting notice, "but their effect can send chills up your spine.""
11 August 2007 "Did Kristen Bell say no to Lost because she's planning a trip to Broadway? That's the buzz along the Great White Way. One of my Broadway moles tells me that Bell could be replacing Laura Bell Bundy in Legally Blonde this February. K.Bell, who was forced to turn down the lead in the new musical Xanadu due to her Veronica Mars duties, recently visited the show and a casting agent for the musical recently told TheaterMania.com that they are considering "adding a TV-based name to the cast in the not too distant future." And even the assertion from Bell's rep that her client "has no plans to do Legally Blonde at this time" would seem to leave open the possibility of a February start -- and it would certainly explain why she was reluctant to make another TV commitment (i.e. Lost). Just some food for thought. My original story follows...."
01 August 2007 "Is their (sic) any confirmative information regarding Cynthia Watros' much-anticipated return to Lost in Season 4?" Ausiello: "Can't confirm that Watros is returning, but I can say that Libby's story will definitely be revisited this season. Backing up what he and Damon Lindelof teased at Comic-Con last week, Carlton Cuse tells me, "There is a cool part of [Libby's] story that we have yet to tell.""
30 May 2007 ""The four-toed statue is something we will get to next season," Cuse revealed. "Sometimes we're surprised by the things people get fixated on. We tried to answer a fair number of questions this year, but that's one we just didn't get to." Benry's barely visible boss man will also be back, he confirms. "There will definitely be a lot more of Jacob in Season 4.""
18 October 2006 "Have you heard any news on whether Cynthia Watros will be returning to Hawaii for Lost flashbacks anytime soon? No firm plans at the moment, but I'd be gobsmacked if it doesn't happen."
Other Spoilers from Other Sources
27 August 2007 The new season of Lost is still over five months away (arrrrggggh!!!), but shooting on the first episode is underway, and the show's five new cast members are officially in place. Yes, we said five: Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse tell EW.com that Jeff Fahey — a cult-pop fave most famous for The Lawnmower Man and most recently seen in Grindhouse — has been added to the show, joining previously announced newcomers Jeremy Davies (Saving Private Ryan), Lance Reddick (The Wire), Ken Leung (The Sopranos), and British actress Rebecca Mader (The Devil Wears Prada, Love Monkey).
26 July 2007 Harold Perrineau will be returning to the show as Michael.
18 August 2006 "Jack Shepherd spots a little girl choking on the playground and perfoms the Heimlich Maneuver." The page contains pictures from the said scene. (SOURCE: dryope.livejournal.com) UPDATE (05 October 2006): The scene was apparently cut from the third season premiere. The scene may resurface in a later episode, or we may have to wait for the deleted scene to appear on the third season DVD set.
